Stonegate Elementary School Reviews

As a parent of a new student to Stonegate, I am continuing to be impressed by how welcoming the teachers, students, and administration have been to my child and myself. Anytime I have had a concern it was handled promptly and in a manner that makes me proud to be a Stonegate parent. We like the extra curricular activities-Stonegate Gamers is my son's favorite. I feel so blessed to have a safe, nurturing school for my son to go to everyday-a place he loves to be! Thank you to the teachers and administration for all you do!!!

I've had five children go through the rigors of Stonegate Elementary and I have to say I'm extremely pleased with the fact that we happened to live in this school's district! The teachers all clearly care about their students, they hold students to a level of responsibility that encourages their independent thinking skills, and they are very well prepared for moving on to the junior high experience! I wish my kids could go to Stonegate longer than K-6!

It passes in social and academic standards, it's teachers are great although pushy relying on stressing a student to get his or her grades or test scores up. The enviroment is friendly and very familiar.

If you enjoy a school that is military style this is the one for you. I think social developement is an important factor of learning and survival in this world today. They definately do not encouraged it here. There is little parent involvement. Dont know whether this is because of the pricipal or PTA members that run it or lack of interest.

There seems to be a huge push to get test scores up no matter what. Teachers seems extremely stressed trying to get all the students where they need or want them to be. There are not many extracurricular activities. Parent involvement is not encouraged or seems to be undesired. Supposedly this is due to current principal.

My son just started 3rd grade at Stonegate, and he is new to this school - he had been attending a private Montessori school, and I was concerned about his overall transfer and adjustment - academic and social. He's only been there a week, but we are thrilled with the school. In speaking with other established parents, I have only heard good things about the school from them as well. My son is doing beautifully, and he loves his class and his teacher - my fears were all in vain! We are so happy with this school, if things keep going as well as they are, I'm thinking that I won't keep my daughter in private school as long as I did my son. I'll put her in Stonegate sooner than 3rd grade.
