Bellaire Elementary School Reviews

Our daughter absolutely loves this school, her teacher, and the fellow students. Overall we've found this to be a great school community for our daughter, and the staff at Bellaire are dedicated beyond their duties to seeing the children excel.

I think that Bellaire has made great improvement over he years. I know that my children's teachers are concerned about them. My children like going to Bellaire

its not that bad but the teachers seem to be uninvolved. My son had a hard time because he wasnt very recognized among the teachers.

I really dislike this school. This is our first year at this school and we have been there for only 7 weeks and I can not stand it. Her teacher is bad. The principal is very nice but I do not see her excitement making to the teachers. The only good thing about the school is the violin program. Mr Pugh is awsome. My daughter went from loving school to hating it. I can not wait until they build the new school next to my house.

The quality of academic programs is not the best, and sadly there is not enough parent involvement. They do music.

This school really lacks leadership. The teacher student ratio needs to be much lower. I am NOT impressed with this school in any way and would not reccomend it to anyone I know.

My child attended for Pre-K and I loved her teacher. She has been very supportive and offers a wide varity of ways to increase the effectiveness of her teaching program. They do encourage parent participation, though I think they are surprised when it arrives. Music is offered on a limited basis.

Ok everyone I think things are getting better! We now are trying to get everyone on the same page. The PTA is on the right track thanks to all the hard work from those dedicated people who have made the changes! And everyone is trying to communicate with everyone! The school is looking great inside now!We are trying to come together as a school instead of seperated. We still have our downfalls but as I said before if we want to change it we all have to work together.

I like alot of other parents am very concerned about my childrens education. Bellaire has some good things going on though I can't think of any at the moment. I read in another review about the teachers only caring about marks, I have found this to be true also. I always get reports on bad behavior but almost never get anything praising my child. I know there is stuff to be praised because he is on honor roll. I think that the teachers are concentrating too much on rules and regulations rather than learning. Yes I do believe that rules are needed but I also think that the kids are getting ruled and regulated to death! How are the kids supposed to have a good learning experience if they are scared of which marks the teacher is going to give them that day? I wonder if their own kids get the same treatement.

This school has been a huge disappointment. My child has only gone to this school for a semester, but thank goodness he is a 6th grader and will be moving on to Jr High. The school does not have an honors program, only a gifted program which meets briefly each week to encourage creativity. I've never seen any information about the PTA. No hand soap in the boy's bathrooms.

My child had the worst teacher this year.. all she was interested in was 'marks'... I am so glad this school year is over! I do like the Suzuki Strings program and Mr. Pugh though!
